I am in the UK but need to capture both PAL and NTSC through my ADVC100. I am wondering if these firewire cards are restricted to only 1 format or if they will take any digital signal.
The reason I ask is that I made the mistake of buying the Canopus EZDV SE card and then found out those cards come in either NTSC or PAL therefore the card is no good to me.![]()
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure that the Adaptec 4300 will take any digital signal. It should up to your capture card wheather it takes NTSC or PAL.
Didn't your ADVC100 come with a firewire capture port capability?Geronimo -
No, the ADVC100 is an external unit and connects to your PC via firewire. I done quite a bit of research before I bought it but why Canopus have to make the EZDV for PAL or NTSC I don't know. Thanks for this, hopefully the Adaptec firewire will do the job.
