  1. Hi! I'm not sure which forum I should put this so I'll just put it here

    Programs used: Sub Station Alpha, TMPGenc, Virtualdub

    My problem is adding subtitles to my avi files, which i plan to put on VCD.
    First i download the .sub file, which I open with SSA. *Problem!*
    The timing of the lines is not working, the time for the first line is something like 7:57:23. All the following lines are timed on 0:00:00.
    Aren't the times included in the .sub file?
    In front of every line is a number, however.
    It's like this:

    {4045}{5647}Oh no, they're going to hit us!

    Or like this:

    1
    00:01:39,496 --> 00:01:41,123
    Oh no, they're going to hit us!

    Both has the same problem: No timing in SSA
    All the times are displayed where the lines should be, so there would be "00:01:39,496 --> 00:01:41,123" instead of "Oh no, they're going to hit us!"

    It would great, if you even told me how the subtitlefiles are supposed to be made so that the timing works in SSA. That way i could correct the files I download and won't have to make the lines.

    My second problem is that when I made one sub-file myself timing it and then importing it to TMGEnc using Virtualdub's subtitle filter, the font was really small. I checked the font in SSA, and it was 20. Why is it, that the fonts in the processed subtitled movie are like 1 font size?????!?!?!?

    I have installed Nimo with full install without the warning-codecs.

    Many praises and flowers to the one who can save me!
