After capturing the videos and encoding to DVD Mpeg files, use an authoring program such as MovieFactory. Load in the MPEGS and In the last step choose 'Creat DVD Folders'.

If your TS folder is greater than 4.36 Gigs then use DVD2One to shrink it.

    Burn to disk.

    Mega -

I think he's not dealing with a 4Gb movie file - he wants to rip 2 dvds, crunch them with DVD2One down to 2Gb each, and load both the compressed versions on one dvd-r.

(if this is not the case, please reply and set me straight!)

    I don't think this is going to be easy - I would think you'd have to do a rip-> convert-> re-author, not just rip-> DVD2One -> burn.

The only way I can think that it would be doable the way you want, is if your dvd player will support "file mode" (i.e. you can put some files on a dvd-r and play them back).

I burned a disc that wasn't quite compliant, when I loaded it into my Apex 1010W, it came up and showed me the AUDIO-TS and VIDEO_TS folders, and let me navigate into VIDEO_TS, select a .vob and play it.

But I don't know if you could have a menu in the front that could select movie #1 or movie #2, and then have the DVD2One-processed 2Gb movies behind that front end... if there is a way, somebody tell us!

  4. I think you want to follow the guide below then put the output through Dvd2one.

  5. Dont know how you would go about it with dvd2one,etc....... ,but if you was to use CCE to encode you could do this.Dvd decrypter > ifomode > demux the movie and the audio for each movie, frame serve each moive. Then lets say both movies are 90mins each. You could reencode them with say a bitrate like this.min.1500 avg.2800 max.9000.Do this with both movies. Then this would give you 2 m2v files of about 2gb each.(once with audio)

Then author each m2v file with the correct ac3 audio track, giving you to sets of vobs.
The the next part im not to sure of.I think you would rename one set of vobs from vts_01_* to vts_02_* then use ifoedit to create new ifo files.

I assumed since md_mushroom indicated that he wanted to make a DVDR using 'Disney films' that he was using VHS movies as a sorce. It sounded like he made 2 DVD movies and then tried to combine to 1 DVDR.

You are right about the about the file mode thingy but you won't have the a menu.

So, md_mushroom, please reply with your video source and the steps you've used so we can help you.

Ok, sorry for not explaining correctly, i want to rip a DVD down to 2.1gig, compressed, using DVD Decryptor & then dvd2one if poss, then i would like to add 2 x 2.1 gig DVD ripped movies to 1 x DVDR, but not sure on how to add 2 movies to 1 dvdr, and add menu to choose wat film to watch.
Hope this explains a little better.

    Many Thanx

hi m8 i know away to do it but its a bit long but it will work for you

first rip the movie from the dvd with dvd decrypter then use a tool called dvdx to rip the movie to mpeg2 use the settings that tmpegenc uses
this should take 3 hours or so depending on the size of the movie and make sure you change the setting so it does not split the file at 700mb

then when that is finished do the same with the other movies then after you have got about 4.3 gig of movies on harddrive (note this could be 2 or 3 movies depending on the size of them) then authorise the dvd with spruce up or some other program then burn and you will have 2 or more disney films on one dvd hope this helps

note dvdx will rip the movie straight from the dvd but i would not recommend doing this for 2 reasons
1.dvdx can lock your dvd drive and nack the lens so i have been told but never seen it my self but not worth the risk
    2. ripping from the dvd to hardrive will be a lot slower than from the hardrive cheer good look
