    I need to buy a new DVD-ROM (my old MEMOREX go way) .... What is the best (I need one that is fast to rip) now to buy????

    I have a Liteon and it's one of the best DVD-ROM drives available.

  4. I have a liteon and have had no problems with it. usually rips around 7X.

    I agree with all of the above, Liteon is the way to go for a DVD-Rom, their CD burners are quite good also.

    Yep, I'm on my second lite-on cdrw (sold last to my father-in-law, nothing wrong with it) and unless I can sort out region free-ing my Pioneer Pioneer 105S about to go through the window! I'll be buying a lite-on dvd-rom drive too.
    Will

    I've never actually tried Liteon's own CD burners yet.
