  1. Hi

Some time ago I converted a film to mpeg and thought I had flipped it also (I used ffdshow as it was upside down).

The problem now is that when I went to watch it the other night it was still upside down and now only have it on vcd.

What I need to know is how do I convert the vcd back to an mpeg file, so that I can re-encode it hopefully with the flip option working.

I have managed to convert it to a mpeg with tmpgenc, but it has not flipped and ffdshow did not activate itself when converting.

The way I converted it was to copy the dat file onto my computer and convert the usual way with tmpgenc.

I have also tried re-encoding it with winoncd (as this usually activates the ffdshow programme), but it did not work.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Take care

You could use one of the Frameservers (VirtualDub or AviSynth) to serve the MPG to TMPGenc, both have a 'flip vertical' (or is it horizontal?) filter which should turn it up the right way.

  3. Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

Just a couple of questions though.

Would I copy the dat file over to my hard drive and then convert using virtualdub (I have the programme but have never used it).

If so how would I save it as an mpeg as the only options I see are for avi.

Sorry to sound dumb, but I am used to just being able to use tmpgenc or winoncd or nero.

    Thanks in advance

  4. When I make SVCDs the MPEG files are renamed but remain on the disk in a folder called MPEG2. Is there no MPEG folder on a VCD?
