  1. I'm trying to convert my DTS music DVD into a VCD
and having trouble during the MPEG encoding process
using TMPG. I ripped the DVD using claddvd and
when I feed these to TMPG it fails to identify any
audio tracks. The ripped files play fine (with audio)
    in powerdvd.
Since the DVD also has a DD audio track I am hoping
that somehow I could get this track into the VCD.

    Any suggestion is much appreciated.

  2. 1) x(S)VCD don't support AC3, sorry.

    2) It seems like you're trying to load the ripped VOB files directly into TMPGenc. This 'often' works but you've skipped a step. You first need to run DVD2AVI to generate a D2V (video) and wav (audio) file from the VOBs. Then you can either encode the video and audio together in TMPGenc, OR only encode the video w/ TMPGenc, encode the audio with tooLame and mux them with bbMPEG.

Take a look at the 'DVD Rip' guide to the left more info on DVD2AVI. Checkout the fourm on it at http://www.doom9.org
