Hello,
I hope I'm posting to the right forum. If not please forgive me.
I recently bought the Cendyne DVR-105 DVD-R writer. I just curious about which way would be the best to set it up.

Currently I have 2 hard drives on the primary IDE controller and a 32X Philips CD writer and a 16X Sony DDU-1621 DVD-Rom hooked to the secondary IDE controller. The Sony is the slave and the writer is the master.

My question is, should I keep the CD writer as master and hook the Cendyne to the same IDE controller as slave? Should I hook the the Cendyne to one of the hard drives and hook the CD writer to the other hard drive as a slave? Is it recommended that DVD writers be master only?

I also have raid on my motherboard. Can I hook one or both of my hard drives to it as a regular IDE controller and give the CD writer and Cendyne the primary and secondary IDE controllers.

I want to take out the ROM drive because it has been a pain. I also want to keep my current CD writer even though the Cendyne can write CD's because my Philips burns at 32X (twice as fast as the Cendyne) and I have CD media that can handle 32X.

Any tips would be appreciated. Both of my hard drives are different sizes with different sized partitions, so I'm not worried about RAID. I just want to use the RAID IDE controllers as extra controllers. I also would like to add a third hard drive in the future. Thanks.
