  1. i have used dvd2one and instant copy...

    backed up bravheart with dvd2one, my standalone displays a bitrate of 170 kbps...movie only.

    backed up casino with instantcopy, and my standalone displays a bitrate of 448 kbps...movie and menu.

    both movies are fairly long...quality looks pretty good on both,
    my question, why is there such a huge difference in the bit rate?
    and what would be considered a GOOD bit rate?

  2. IC use one pass VBR I believe so the bitrate flucates...correct me if I'm wrong. This is one of the reasons for exact file size predictability.

    arn't those bitrates the sound?

    it's the average Mbps you wanna look at for video
