i have used dvd2one and instant copy...
backed up bravheart with dvd2one, my standalone displays a bitrate of 170 kbps...movie only.
backed up casino with instantcopy, and my standalone displays a bitrate of 448 kbps...movie and menu.
both movies are fairly long...quality looks pretty good on both,
my question, why is there such a huge difference in the bit rate?
and what would be considered a GOOD bit rate?

IC use one pass VBR I believe so the bitrate flucates...correct me if I'm wrong. This is one of the reasons for exact file size predictability.
