I've been boasting about a high quality TMPGE encoded DVD but when I finally burned it to DVD-RW, there was a huge green bar covering half of the movie. It plays fine on the computer. One thing that I did that may not be standard is that I downsized the DVD to 352x480 in order to increase the detail. Is this DVD compliant also I used 2-pass VBR with an averge bitrate of around 6000. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

352x480 is a valid dvd resolution. 6000 is not too high for dvd. can you player play dvd-rws? maybe it also doesn't like the brand of the disc.

i've had success several times already with DVD-RW and the same el cheapo brand. What program can I use to find all of the properties of the meg2 that I've encoded. I use g-spot for AVI's. Is there an equivalent for meg2's

    Thanks in advance,

Bitrate Viewer is in the Tools Section to your left.

  6. If you look at the 'what is' section to the left under DVDR they list the max DVD bitrate as 9.8Mbit/s (total), most DVDs seem to be ~7500kbit/s. I suspect the problem is either with your media, or your standalone.
