Ok i've searched the forum, the web and i cant figure out how to lower the maxbitrate in dvd architect 5

I set my project bitrates to let say 5800kbps but the maxbitrate is set at 10080 and i cannot change it so when i prepare my dvd i have some peaks at OVER 9800 often. yes the average bitrate is close to 6000 but i'm concern about all theses high peaks and not being compatible with all dvd player. in fact i have a 6 years old dvd player that have problem playing it.

i even tried to set the bitrate to 4500 and it still peaks way to often close to 10000

where is that setting for max bitrate in dvd architect??????

10800 is the maximum combined bitrate, with 9800 being the maximum video bitrate, so I am surprised that DVDA would have a maximum video bitrate set that high. That said, you should never use an authoring tool for encoding. Use Vegas to encode, where you have a lot more control over the settings.
