When I copy files using DirectCD (ver 5.3.4.21, the most recent) to either CD-RW or DVD-+RW, both the modified and created file dates are reset to the current date. I did not have this problem two months ago. Some recent upgrade caused this problem. I depend on modified dates to sort and find my various AVI clips. I will appreciate learning how to re-establish the ability to preserve the modified date after a file is copied to a CD or DVD.
Thanks

If you're running WinXP, try this:
In Windows Explorer, right click your drive and click properties.
In the Recording Tab, unclick "Enable CD Writing on this Drive"
This solved the problem for me.
