First off you need a mpeg file. if you hve an Avi file click here http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm, you you want to rip it from a dvd click here http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdripping.htm
If you want to capture it from a tv or capture card then click here http://www.vcdhelp.com/capture.htm and when you are ready to burn it click here http://www.vcdhelp.com/burnmpg.htm but before you waste time click here http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php and find your dvd player to make sure it can play them.

    Hi

I guess you already have a movie you wish to convert, by your comments you need to know how to convert it.

Load the movie into TMPGEnc then click the "load" button and select a "VCD" template "PAL(UK) or NTSC" and click "start"

The mpeg it makes will be correct to be loaded into your CDR program to burn the disk.

Your CDR program might be Nero or Easy Cd Creator or others, look for the VCD create.

  4. If you have a 700mhz or higher pc, w/128ram or higher, use dvd2svcd. It's not as complicated and it does everything for you, plus svcd looks better than vcd.
