I've used DVD Decrypter to rip the VOBs. It went very smoothly.
I'm trying to use DVDx v2.2 to encode the ripped VOBs to 2 x 900mb 2-pass 1438kbs DiVX 5.0.3 videos.
I'm using 160kbs 6ch AC3 audio streams. I've done everythingThis guide has told me to do. And the output video looks WONDERFUL, but the audio twitches. Just a soft crackle now and then.
DVDx says that it's because I have synch audio/video enabled. But when I turn it off, it won't encode. It crashes out of the process 45% of the way through.
For information, I'm trying to rip my retail copy of Gladiator to learn how to do it.
I can't tell if the VOBs are supposed to be 29.97 (As far as I know, 29.97 was year-one DVDs only?).
Would I get the results I need by selecting 23 FPS, forcing 24Hz, and disabling the synch?
Help?
If you need any more info, I'll be more than happy to give it.
