  2. with virtualdub, you can create an avi compressed heavier, of compressed with a lower bitrate.

Select a lower bitrate, and your file is gonna be smaller

  4. Well I compressed it using "Divx Pro 5.0.3 Codec" and put the bitrate to the smallest but the size is basicly the same, 190mb to 165mb, and the quality is basicly the same, is there any way of making it under 100mb?

  5. How long is your movie? If you selected the lowest bitrate... you can't lose more in video... Maybe you should save some space on the audio... look into AUDIO -> COMPRESSION and select 1 with a low bitrate
i suggest the LAME MP3 encoder... 4Kb/sec is the minimum... try it

    And probably poorer quality.
    ofcourse

  6. But the audio on its own is very small in size so compressing it won't make any big change in the size.

    Someone PLEASE help!!!

  7. Well here is the info on the two files,

Here are the stats for the 60meg AVI (as reported by WindowsXP):
    Resolution: 320x240
    Audio bitrate: 55kps
    Audio format: MPEG Layer 3
    Frame rate: 19fps
    Data rate: 43kbps

Here are the stats for the 185meg AVI (as reported by WindowsXP):
    Resolution: 512x384
    Audio bitrate: 112kps
    Audio format: MPEG Layer 3
    Frame rate: 23fps
    Data rate: 135kbps
    Video sample size: 24bit
    Video compression: DivX codec

How can I make the bigger one the same as the smaller one?
