  1. Setup is
    Pentium 4, 1.4 Ghz
    512 Ram
    160 Gig Hard drive
Asus Geforce 2 7700 video card

Just bought an ATI TV Wonder VE card. Physical installation was a breeze. Software installed, but ATI is saying is doesn't recognize the Asus videocard, TV program displays a black screen, won't recognize any channel for autoscan. Tried to install the Sourceforge drivers, but any attempt to run the TV program afterwards hung the system.

Any assistance would be greatly greatly appreciated!

Apologies to the forum owner if this post is in the wrong spot; I couldn't find the forum for hardware troubles.

my personal preference was to get rid of the ATI software altogether. i never could get it to work after installing the sourceforge drivers. i used PowerVCRII instead.
Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

  3. Heh, I really fixed the problem; physically uninstalled the ATI card and put a nice Hauppage WinTV FM Go card in.

    That radio feature is niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

I don't like XP's 'phone home' tendancies, and rather than go back to 98 I'd rather go Linux. I'm putting up with ME until I can get the Linux thing running smoothly
