What would cause a mono recording played on a stereo VCR to have the top half of the picture all coloured and wavy? I have 2 stereo VCRs and it only happens on one of them.

Why do you feel it has something to do with the tape being mono. Or do you mean black and white?
Tracking?
Heads are going?
Need cleaning?Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side. -
Because it doesn't happen with stereo recordings. No, I don't mean black and white.
I've tried adjusting the tracking, but it doesn't make any differnce.
I only got it 2 months ago, so the heads can't be going and it doesn't need cleaning.
