  1. I upgraded to the latest Nero recently and since then any menu that I create on my VCDs, will have a white box around each item of text. Therefore to make any decent looking menu, I can not use any background picutre and the background has to be white.

Has anybody else found this problem and a way around it?

    Yeah, I think it sucks.
But don't know a way around it, sorry.
Maybe it could be defeated in the Nero .ini file. Is there one?

  6. 5.5.10.15!! Just when you thought it was safe to go outside again. I hope it's better than 5.5.10.7.

Does this mean Xvid will stop encoding upside down

  7. I see 5.5.10.15a is already released. This many versions of minor releases is NOT a good sign. It usually means problems on the software development end with lots of bugs creeping around the labs.

Based on my personal experience there was a problem with the NeroAPI.dll that prevented NeroVison Express from encoding DVD burns properly. 15a seems to have corrected that problem.

An ongoing issue I've noticed since 7 that wasn't fixed in 10 is that the program tends to dump itself from memory midstream. We'll see if 10a has addressed that.
