I have an AVI file that when encoded at maximum I get an almost 8GB mpeg2 file. I am not interested in fitting this on one DVD. Rather, I would prefer to span it ovet 2 DVDs. I'm not interested in authoring, menus, subtitles, and other embellishments.
What software do I need to be able to do this?

Split it into two 4Gb mpegs using TmpGenc mpeg-tools. Convert each one to DVD format (.vob, ifo bups etc) with Ifoedit.
