I converted a mpeg file to an ISO file using Img burn. How I convert this mpeg or ISO file to DVD-Video format so I can play it on my DVD player?

One way is to mount the ISO in a virtual drive, like Slysoft's free program called VirtualClone Drive.

Then use the mounted ISO file as input into AVStoDVD. If you know that the specs of the mpeg file are already dvd-compliant, look in the Preferences in AVStoDVD, and open the audio and video tabs. Put a check mark in the boxes to keep dvd compliant audio and video streams. This will insure that they are not reencoded, and retain original quality. If either are not compliant now, AVStoDVD will convert them so that the output will work in a dvd player.

You then burn the resulting dvd-video to a disk with ImgBurn. AVStoDVD can be set up to burn automatically with ImgBurn if you wish.

It asked do I want to index this. I said yes, and it stated that the MPEG indexing failed. How important is it to index it? I ended up saying no when I tried to add the title again.
Can I burn or create the DVD_Video directly to my real computer dvd-drive?

probably won't have navigation or chapter marks so no fast forward/rewind, or skipping chapters. if it works at all.

no, create the folder to your hard drive then burn to dvd with imgburn.
