I am trying to burn Scarface to a CD-R as a VCD. I have made one VCD in the past that does work fine on my DVD player. I have the full nero. I DL'd Scarface and played it on my PC and it plays perfect. But when I put it on the actual VCD the voices were about 5 secs behind the picture.
Any help would be appreciated. I did in fact look for the answer within this website. I didn't see anything about making VCDs from files already on the PC. From what I saw it was burning DVDs straight.
Any help would be appreciated. And I apologize if this has been posted a million times or if I overlooked some help section.

Check the guide for fixing out of sync errors:

Check out the ones on fixing audio problems... -
The problem i'm having seems to be different though. When I play the file on my PC, it's perfectly in snyc. But when it's transfered as the VCD with Nero, it's off... Seems like all the info on that page involves the video/audio being out of sync from the very start.
Sorry, i'm sure I sound like a complete moron. I'm not real good as this stuff. The only reason i'm trying is because Scarface is a ghost DVD, and I don't like dealing on Ebay. -
It's in 3 portions.

Those kind of details/specs? -
I stopped using Nero as (for me) it kept loosing sync all the time , the same mpegs burned with Ulead Movie Factory played fine .

It seems like you've got your sources in AVI format. If so, Nero is doing much more than just burning it.
Follow one of the many guides here on AVI to VCD.
Also, 20 fps is a non standard setting, that may cause a whole lot of strange problems!

Edit: Just saw something that made me think DivX files and AVI files are one in the same? If so, then I found what I need.
I also need a link for some info on cutting out the first seconds of one of the files, as well as a link for an explaination of how to fit all 3 of the files(portion #1 =190MB, portion #2 and #3 are 183MB) onto one CD-R(700MB 80 mins), if it's not too much trouble. -
DivX are a kind of AVI, yes!
The size (in MB) of the source(s) have absolutely nothing to do with what size it will occupy as VCD.
To "join" the AVIs, open first segment in VirtualDub.
Then add the rest with "Append AVI segment". (This requires all AVIs to have same resolution, encoding etc)
This will tell you how long the movie will be. If it's under 79 min, you can fit it on a 80 min CD as standard VCD.
Frame serve the joined AVI to TMPGEnc for encoding.
Author to VCD with VCDEasy and burn it to CD with Nero if VCDEasys integrated CD writing doesn't work with your system.

is it possible to burn the files using this method with it being a mpeg4(or whatever it's called)?

Sh*t, I give up. Half this sh*t doesn't work, and there's about 234324334234324234325234 different ways to do it. -
It's probably an ASF/WMV you have (you're sure posting in many threads - it'd be much easier if you kept all info in one!) If that's the case:
If your source is ASF use Virtualdub1.3c.
Yes, there are 234324334234324234325234 ways to skin a cat. Just pray that you don't have to try them all, before you find one that works for you!

Yeah, sorry about the double thread going here. I started a new one to get some different info and was going to be done with the first thread. But then ppl kept posting help over in that one. So I got help over there and here, and I still can't figure this out! I'll try this 1.3c release, because I just got Ulead Movie Factory and I couldn't open the videos in that program either!
Well, i'm sure this will be no suprise to you, but I can't find VirtualDub 1.3c. Is there a link within this website?
