  1. Hi,
I am looking to get a laptop and I want to be able to continue my video editing on whichever laptop I choose. I have my eye on the Compaq Presario 3005US. With it's 16' SXGA display it seems that this machine would be great. Good price too. The problem is that the Graphic chip is built in and it uses 64mb shared memory. This apparantly hurts its 3D gaming. My question is, will that effect my video editing? By the way, I don't want to capture with this machine, only edit. Here are the machine specs :

    processor Intel Pentium® 4 Processor - 2.0 GHz
    memory 512MB DDR SDRAM (2 x 256MB) at 266MHz
hard drive 40 GB Ultra DMA 4200 RPM [gigabyte is defined as 1,000,000,000 bytes, accessible capacity may vary]
multimedia drive 8x DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
    display 16.0" TFT SXGA Display
communications Integrated 56K ITU V.92 PCI modem and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port
video 4X AGP for enhanced Video, Graphics and 3D performance with 64MB shared video memory
    sound Compaq Audio
    weight Approximately 8.09 lbs.
    dimensions 13.8" (L) x 11.8" (W) x 1.75" (H)
operating system Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition

    Thanks,
    TheNob
