hi , i made a test using the mydvd from sonic , and now i can't delete the test. I've tried nero , instantcd ,nero express, recordmax, roxio easy cd and none of them removed the test from the dvd+rw. Nero gives me this error when i try to erase , even if i use quick or full ," SCSI taget error" , how can i erase so i can use the dvd+rw with another program???
Sorry for my english.

i have been havin the same proble and no one has helped me yet i think what programe u used to burn the dvdrw? From what i learned my self its a progeram problem i tried all programs samething but dvds i do in ulead video studio seem to erase and rewrite, with uleads burning program. But of course only dvds made in ulead can be burnt with ulead. So my guess is continue to try all the burning programs u can find the latest that is.
What did u burn you dvdrw with? -
SONIC is great, it accept ac3 and pcm audio, which make a more compatible disc than mf2. i burned more than 20movies with sonic without any problem and all of them play fine in standalone dvd players.
and my dvd+rw works perfectly.
calvin make sure you use SONIC to erase your dvd+rw and did you have ur dvd+rw installed as MASTER??? it works better as master.
winxp is preferred for dvd authoring. -
Thnx for the advices. I did not format before using the dvd+rw, i don't know how to erase the dvd+rw using the mydvd sonic, there is no option like nero . i'm afraid the dvd+rw is slave it is a must to switch to master?

My DVD writer is configured as slave (as recommended by Philips) and DVD+RW can be erased any time, even when burnt with MyDVD.IMHO myDVD's greatest disadvantage is, that it uses PCM instead of mp2.All DVDs made with tm,pgenc or ULEAD MS tend to be to big, because I'm usind the bandwidth more for Video than for Audio.
ULEAD authored DVDs can be burnt with any image burner.Just make an image, mout that image with Daemontools and burn with RecordNow Max.
The real (and only) advantage is, if you burn a DVD with MyDVD, it'll run on most satndalones.
