For all dvd2one and instant copy ppl who dont understand us

Right in 1999 when this site got mainly going it was only guys who loved quailty... guys who wanted to watch their films in as clear as possible with the best sound.

these guys are the ones who went out and bought the first dvd players and cinema kits for vasts ammounts of money. While everybody else was settleing for noisy vcr and stereo, these guys could here the bullets whizzing about the room and really "feel" the movie and see everydrop of water.

But now that dvd players have become cheap(and they are just that) people who dont care if the movie is in black and white or colour (yes I am from europe) are getting these players and wanting to copy dvds.

The are using programs like instant copy cause they offer an easy way to copy dvds and keep the menus but the quailty is shiote... just they can't see it cause they arent into quailty like some guys on this site.

    Just my comments:

dvd2one-complete wastes of time, it only keep the movie!!! you can do this for better and for free!!!

instant copy- well at least ppl who use this can say they have a reason it keeps menus and extras. etc and the quailty is better than dvd2one buit still shiote.

So remember when someone says their dvd method only takes 50 hrs on an amd 3000+ barton and you can't understand this, take a look at this post.

DVD2ONE can in fact copy the entire DVD with menu/extras,just like the original DVD.

But then there are those who say "BUY THE DAMN DVD!"

Don't spend so much time trying to "backup" your DVDs. For the amount of time, effort and material that you put into copying a DVD, you could have bought 10 copies of it.

If you have a program that does it in 15 minutes, or is a "set it and forget it", then the savings is (maybe) worth it.

  7. Boring thread, what a crock of shit.

  8. My eyes are so bad i can`t tell the diffrence.

  9. I agree pointless thread, he' s arguing for the point of augument. For what DVD2one intends to do, to make a quick down and dirty copy of your DVD, it does so quite well

How am I a hypocrite I would do the above. I have a bad copy of red dragon I bought at the market on dvd and I will never watch it. I am going to wait until I get the real dvd (or a copy like mine :P ) off a friend.

Yeah it's a whole waste of 15 minutes and I can hardly see the difference in quality on my big screen.

Been using DVD2one for a couple of weeks and done about 20 movies. After ripping only the movie not using subtitles and using only the english ac3 6ch audio I have found only one film so far that has benn over 4.3 gig and had to be transcoded. From what I've read DVD2one only transcodes if it has to reduce the files to fit on the DVD.So my other 19 copies appear as the original with no loss in quality except no extras or menues. Don't see the point in them anyway just a pain in the ass waiting for them to load so you can then start the film. Many films seem rip at 6/6.5 gig but by the time you take out the extra audio the video falls to below 4.3 gig.All the films done were 90 - 120 min. So I would say if you want only 1 audio channel and bare film DVD2one is the tool to use on films under 2 hours. Any other method is just wasting time for no gain in quality

By the way why are people who are looking for the best possible quality even thinking about backing up.If I wanted best quality I would be using originals but I've got kids and backups are a must.

Baker is just one of those "intellectual" video snobs that are so anoying. He stops the picture, zooms in, etc all to find picture flaws. I have been into high quality video since SVHS (not that that was so great) came out. I have a high end JVC DVD player and a 38" HDTV. I use and love dvd2one! Provided the movie is not more than 6 gig, it looks great on my TV! I also have DVDxcopy and also use ifoedit, etc. The sacrifice in quality for movies around 2 hours is miniscule. Yes, I can see it if I want too, but I still love this product (dvd2one).
