Hi
Simple question.
I am creating 352 x 576 Pal 2520 Bitrate 48hz SVCDs.
Which resolution should I capture at ??
352 x 576?
480 x 576?
704 x 576?
720 x 576?
Cheers

I would capture at the highest resolution that you can then resize down to 1/2 D-1.
You can reduce some video artifacts this way such as noise. -
If you have the space and processing power and are not capping direct to MPEG2 then cap at 704x576 then in the edit/encode go to 352x576 for a bit better quality.
Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin' -
Sorry I am capping to mpeg2.
And at 8000 bitrate my captures look awesome and according to task manger I am only using 70% CPU
Any of those resolutions look good at that bitrate.
I was just wondering if I am gaining anything by using full resolution.
I am talking about capture from TV and camcorder not video specifically.
