  1. Yes! Finally succes... made my first svcd and it works great except for one small detail; I've got no sound
Because I'm probably the only one who still works with OS10.1.2 (and can't use ffmpegx and MMB) I had to find a different route; this is what I did:
    a) iMovie; import .DV stream - export .mov
    b) QTpro; .mov - HighQuality on - export audio as .wav
    c) Mediapipe; .mov to .mpv
    d) MoreMissingTools; (opened with Mediapipe) .wav to .mp2
    e) MissingMpegTools; mplex .mpv and .mp2 to one .mpg
    f) BBDemux; here I drop the .mpg and get 2 output files (test-1S192SS0.m1a and test-1S224SS0.m2v)

If I put these two in a folder, copy & burn this to a cdr, I'm able to play the video file in my standalone dvd player, but I don't have sound..
The soundfile plays just fine on VLC, so that isn't the problem.
Do I have to merge these two together (again)?
I should mention this video file is the only one that works on my dvd player so far -burned in this very basic way since I don't have toast. Tried burning toc/bin/.. also, but no succes here.

    Some idea's anyone?

  2. When you are done with step (e), you should have one, final MPEG2 file.

At that point you can use VCDBuilder to generate .bin file out of your MPEG2. Next, you can burn your .bin file with Toast or alternative burning software.

If your MPEG2 file is too large to fit on 80min CDR, you can split your MPEG2 into multiple pieces. Use "Gumby" (or other tool that let you split MPEG's) to handle this task.

  3. I tried burning the bin before, but with no succes; no wonder really because i don't have toast nor can I use MMB (OS10.1.2)
Not so bad because all I wanted to do in the first place was getting good quality on a cheap cdr (for learning sports, analysing the moves with easy slow motion and repeat on the dvd player)
So, actually I feel great that it works my way, but I'll keep on searchin'!
Now i've tasted the goods, I want some more (like some sound)
in the near future I'll upgrade to jaguar so things will become more easy; but for now I like the holy grale thing I have going to get it to work on 10.1

Still I wonder why my dvd player recognises the .m2v from BBDemux and not the .bin or .mpeg? Does anybody knows more technical info/details about this, because I find these details often usefull to understand how things work..

Should this bin be burned directly to the disc, and not put it in a folder first or makes this no difference at all?

Thanks! (and this is to everyone who cared enough to respond- what makes this forum such a nice place) Forgive my euforic state, as i'm just a happy newbie
