  1. I've been using DVD2SVCD for ages and then burning the resulting Bin/Cue files with VCDEasy>tools>CDRDAO Tools> burn a Cue, and this has worked fine in the past, but lately I've started getting the following, as soon as I hit 'Burn'

    [CDRDAO Write]
    Cdrdao version 1.1.5
    ERROR: D:\CD Copies\Conversion\DVD2SVCD\Movie\CD_Image_File_CD1 .cue:1: Illegal token: C
    D:\CD Copies\Conversion\DVD2SVCD\Movie\CD_Image_File_CD1 .cue:1: syntax error at "EOF" missing { Binary Motorola }

    Is it something I'm doing wrong ?

    At a guess, it doesn't like the space in "CD Copies". Try making it "CD_Copies" or something.

    I think sterno is right on. I had problems with VCDEasy for a time and it was related to folder names. I thought that the problem was folder names with more than 8 characters, but it's been awhile, it could just as easily have been illegal characters (like a space). My memory isn't what it used to be!

  4. I had the same problem and it was with the spaces. I had to either edit the cue file to read in 8.3 format (eg. "c:\mydocu~1\...). This worked for me, now I just don’t put spaces or special charcters in the path/file names and I don’t have any problems.

  5. For long filenames and special characters in the path, the path and filename should be enclosed in quotations...

    That is:
    "c:\long path name\my binfile.bin"
