  1. Hi all,

    I have a VHS tape i would like to capture to an mpeg file. Howeven when i connect it up to my pc the file is black and white! My vcr and tv is ntsc playback so it is color on the tv.

    Is there anything I can do in regards to this?

    My VGA card is the Asus V8460. I tried using virtual dub and asus digital vcr with no luck.

    Please help!

    Make sure your card is capturing in NTSC and not PAL. Some of the WDM universal drivers out there will lock you into PAL mode ( as noted by the 25 fps, and no option for 29.97 fps ). If your VCR has Macrovision, and you capture card doesn't like it, you will get garbage.

    Why NO OPTION for 29.97 fps that is correct or?, but anyway for my hardware NO WORK, no with 25 fps or 29.97 fps!
    Maybe is really that my VCR has Macrovision?!, I dont know!

    Actually how its possible find out if by mine VCR in fact Macrovision?
    and if there is really problem with Macro, how I can to solve it?
