I have been rather surprised by the overall positive response to InstantCopy. By contrast, after the initial release of DVD2one people seemed to take sides quickly. Detailed analysis showed a considerable difference in quality between the original, CCE and DVD2one output. There was a lot of discussion about blurry pictures and “shimmering”. The sides generally formed between those who found the new process using DVD2one so easy (or perhaps simply “doable”) that they were willing to overlook a level of quality compromise that they considered acceptable.
InstantCopy has so far received nearly unanimously positive opinions. Perhaps this is simply because too little time has past and too little product is so far in the hands of readers. Many people who visit these boards come looking for honest opinions, be they positive or negative. In part this is because many of the users here are highly discriminating when it comes to quality compromises. Speed is clearly important but ultimately quality is the main issue for many of us. I must admit that I was hoping for a bigger discussion on the virtues of various methods and especially quality comparisons with InstantCopy. Probably they will still be forthcoming as more people try the product.

214 views and not a single opinion? remarkable!!!
What about those "Saving Private Ryan" pictures that the proponents of CCE put before this audience when DVD2one was being discussed? Does the silence mean all agree that InstantCopy is a perfect copy? -
Well I did the same movie with dvd2one took 30 mins. With instant copy it took 2 hours...this is on a P4 2.53Ghz. To me there was a noticable difference so I prefer the extra time. Personally I could give a flying hoot about menus, etc. However, dvd2one isn't dead in my eyes. If they give us an option for higher quality, albeit a slower transcoding process. Then it may be better. For now though I'll stick with quality over quantity. For those with slower computers I guess I can see where dvd2one would be better in their situation..certain code written in assembly for optimal speed.
