  1. I encoded vcd from a divx file with tmpgenc the resolution of the divx and mpeg is 640 x 272 and 23.976 fps. It looks fine when i play the mpeg in windows media, but when i burn with nero it says: The file is invalid, need mpeg 1 which was encoded for vcd. Invalid video stream. Turn off standard compliance and continue? I hit turn off standard compliance and continue, and when i play the burnt vcd, the resolution is very big and streched. How can i fix this?

P.s. i need to burn with a program that puts a menu on the vcd.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ryan

640x272 is a non-standard resolution which no player can play correctly.

Encode your VCD to 352x240 and Nero should accept it. :P

  7. thanks for the replys. How do i know if i should encode it to vcd or svcd.

  8. Thats a judgement you need to make, as to whether the quality of the source file is worthy of the SVCD format. If the quality of the source file is marginal, there may be no benefit of making a SVCD, in this case VCD will suffice.

Usually a file with a resolution of 640x272 will yield great results when encoded to SVCD! :P
