  1. Hello, anybody here using these DVDr? i bought a pack of 20, recommended by the shop owner saying they work great and are compatable with all DVD players he has tried, burned using the Pioneer.

But none of them can be read by my Toshiba, Goodmans or PS2.....i have made a few backups of my original DVDs with these discs and none of them can be read, none of the players will load them. I am using Nero and Stomp Record for burning and never had a problem using the previous DVDr i got with my Writer.

Even copying a movie i had already backed up which plays fine on everything will not work on this White Label disc.

However the disc will load fine on my PC.

Has anybody got these to work? do i need other burning software?

Could someone recommend some good Blank media to use on this drive.

I would a appreciate your help.

    Thanks.

  2. do yourself a favour, save yourself a lot of disappointment, time and money by not using cheap media on the a05. i've tried all sorts of cheap disks, even ones that have been recommended for the a05 and i have had no success whatsoever.

i now only use 4x media - ritek, datawrite or infiniti are all good, coaster free and virtually indistructible. these even play on machines that haven't played dvd-r's in the past.

and even at around £2.00 a piece they're still relatively cheap although at this moment in time there appears to be a dvd-r shortage so they will be hard to come by.

  3. Thanks for your answer, just wish i had bought a couple of these disks instead of 20, i will try some of the discs you have mentioned. Thses discs were the expensive ones in the shop at £1 each, the others were 60-70p.
