  1. I've removed all the streams I can, and even went with 2-channel sound instead of 6-channel DTS, and the movie is still 98mb too large to fit on 1 disc. I would remove the end credits, but the entire movie only has 1 VOB-ID, so I can't just strip them out with IFOEdit. I would just compress to 98 or 99%, but ReMpeg only goes up to a 90% scale factor. Is there anything I can do, or am I just stuck compressing to 90% and losing 10% of my quality?

I never had a problem with cutting the ending credits, but I don't use IfoEdit for it.

    As recommended by Vric

Render out your TS directories, then use DVD2one or similar to resize the video TS directory.

I did it the other day in a similar situation (approx. 200 meg over), and it worked flawlessly - took only 20 minutes....

I'll never worry much over compiling stuff again. If I'm a little over, all it takes is 20 minutes to "fix" it. Better than spending 20 minutes claculating all the bitrates.....

  6. Here is your Credit-cutting guide if a VOB has only 1 ID, and the credits DONT start on a CELL ID / Chapter point. As you well know.

  7. Use DVDShrink to cut out the credits. It doesn't matter if there is only one vob file or not. That should free up the space that you need, and DVDShrink will even rewrite your ifo files for you.
