  1. I've made up the usual VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS stripped down with ifoedit, then i burned it with Nero (last version) using the wizard and choosing the "dvd video" option. (using Intenso DVD as media)

I then started seeing it in my home dvd (philips 612). Started perfectly, then, after 10-12 minutes it starts to hang often and often and then it stops.

I tried also on Panasonic home dvd (350 av) and makes the same. On a pioneer, on a philips 940, on Apple powerbook doesn't even start (on the first 2 it's recognized as dvd but doesn't start)!!!

I read that I should burn using and UDF 1.0X option. Is that the correct way? I also read that some onea have better results using dvd decrypter to burn (but in this case only if ripped <4,7 gigs) or using imagetools to make an image and then using other software to burn.
Which is the best compatibility standard to burn? I'm also gonna change media using Apple's.
    Thanks a lot for helping

For starters, disable the Nero Wizard and select your new compilation from the pulldown menu. (Nero wizard _can_ give problems, which occurs in several versions of Nero)

About the UDF format, it's better to burn with the older UDF 1.02 format.
Some older players do not support newer UDF 1.05 and the Panasonic 350 is quite an old player.
UDF 1.02 is always safer and more compatible.

And I'd also try using other media.
Also, burn it to a DVDRW first.
DVDRW's are recognized easier (at least in my player which is a Panasonic 360) and if it doesn't work you can always erase the disk to start over again.

It can also be authoring related. I've had discs working with PowerDVD but not in a standalone DVD player.

I have a panasonic lv50 player which only plays discs burned with dvd video in Nero.

The other templates in Nero for dvd will not play in either pc or Nero.

Recordnow disc won't play at all in standalone or pc.

Could someone give me some advice on what I am doing wrong ?

    thanks.

  4. I solved my problem by burning wih Instant DVD 6.5 that came with my pioneer a05 and choosing UDF 1.02
Looks like it works in every standalone player.
    Thanks
