Okay... Here's what's up...
I have one MPG file that is about 760MB and I'm going to burn it to a CD as an SVCD.
If I create the XML file, and then the IMG files with that XML file using VCDTools I get an SVCD that when put in my DVD player (standalone) requires me to specify the ratio aspect, hit play, and it doesn't show me the elapsed time.
If I drop that MPG file into FFMpegX and use it to author and process the IMG files I get an SVCD that when put in my DVD player (standalone) that automatically plays, automatically detects the ratio aspect, and even shows the elapsed time.
Both methods are burnt with Toast Multi-Track XA Image
What is it that you are doing different major?
