dvd2svcd, HELP........

I am using dvd2svcd, I have used it before with no problems, but I have just done a reformat, and I cant get it to work, i have installed the aspi drivers as it says. When I go to press the cd icon to load the dvd, it goes to analising video, and just stays like that, I have to end task to close the app, as I can't get it to do anything else, any suggestions out there, thanx in advance for any support.

Have you tried different DVDs. I had that same problem, once. It turned out to be the specific DVD I was using. Eventually, I decided to just "let it sit". I came back a hour later and it finally had moved beyond that point and I was able to start the rip. I have never had that problem with any other DVD. I don't know wether it was scratched, corrupt, or what. The SVCDs created from it worked fine.
