    does anyone recomend this as a first TV/capture card
    I have had one other card
    THE 3DFX VOODOOTV 200
    THIS CARD SUCKS
    DO NOT BUY IT
    Back to the new card, the reason i chose it was it seems to get good reviews on this site. great site by the way.
    will i be able to do vcd and svcd captures on an xp pentium III 1 ghz 512ram
    i have tmpgenc, roxio 5 platinum for burning.
    i like the look of this card because it comes with so much extra software
    $125 worth of ulead stuff anyone recomend the software and card, studio 6 and 3d max.

    sorry for the late post...just saw yours....I have had the card now for 3 or 4 months and think is works great. I have no complaints abou it. I like it cause it allow you to capture to any format you have on your computer. Simple software control....and it installed flawlessly for me in about 15 minutes, and has good quality reception.

    I hope you have as good an experience as I did with mine

    Had it a while now, and it works.
    the only problems i had were a few extra steps in the instilation, codecs ECT.
    And the video had some lines missing or blured at the top or bottom but TMPEGnc can take that out easily.
    But hey the thing gets better FOX5 cable reception than the upstairs TV.
    Allthough it might be the wiring. My dad wired in that TV using European cable and now after seeing the card he says he will rewire it.
    Overall a good first TV card.
