How do you author a DVD with the files forty-two gives you?
I want to take the 5.1 ac3 track extracted with OSex and add the video track obtained using forty-two and burn to DVD-R. The problem is DVDSP won't accept the video (because of the 23.98 fps rate). I tried authoring the files with sizzle and MMT 9.1, and they work except 1/2 way through ( the third VOB file to be exact) the audio goes away. It seems to authour fine when i choose mpeg audio, but why is ac3 being so problematic?
Anyone found a way to get ac3 audio and the forty-two mpv file to DVD?

i'm wondering the same thing, cause i get that dsp error too of 23.98, does running it through bits help? the program that's part of more missing mpeg tools? i also have this problem coming out of ffmpegx. i tried sizzle once and all seemed to go well, but apple dvd wouldn't play the audio. the video was fine though. mplayer played the audio and video though, but none of my set top could play the audio only the video.

just tried this again, took my .mpv from 42 and then ripped the ac3 audio i wanted cause 42 didn't encode it, use sizzle to author, plays fine in apple dvd player with audio, but on a set top, it plays full frame , it's suppose to be anamorphic though, so not sure if that's a sizzle thing where it didn't flag the disc properly or is that something different? also it plays the audio but the video plays jerky, sort of like watching it a really slight slow motion. any thoughts??

Ive had that same problem too. With every dvd that Ive done. Like you said the audio is in sync but the video play back on a standalone dvd player is jerky. Im wondering if it is a 42 problem or a sizzle problem. Is there any dvd authoring programs that we can try?

we will be going strait to VIDEO_TS folders as final output in 1.5, for use in Toast.

straight to video ts sounds way cool.
does 42 leave the ac3 file alone? or does it mp2 it? can it leave it alone?pants on, pants off, pants the floor. -
