DVD PLAYERS...PROBLEMS

can anyone help . i have a cyberhome dvd player my mate has a logix. now i can play vcd s that are ripped from dvd and so can he , but some movies i can play but he cant and vice versa anyone any ideas????
his machine can cope with out of spec bitrates , so can mine
we both do our movies the same
so i m perplexed , can someone help??

Your player probably just has a wider tolerance for CDR's than his.
