  1. RecordNow MAX works fine for me, but I just noticed that when I burn a dvd in RecordNow MAX using default settings it will burn the dvd in
ISO 9660, Joliet, UDF. An orginal DVD movie use only ISO 9660, UDF. So why do RecordNow MAX use Joliet and should I disable joliet?

I have one more question, I use RecordNow MAX ver 4.10 should I upgrade to 4.60? Are there any big differences between this two versions?

  2. @ Espen, I am not fully certain of exactly what "joliet" is but it has to do with long file names, I believe. It shouldn't matter whether it is diabled or enabled. Test it both ways on an +RW, but I'd be willing to bet that either method will work just fine. As far as keeping 4.10 or upgrading, well if you have NO problems with the version you currently have, then you should probably keep it. I had to have the 4.5 version, because 4.10 doesn't recognize my burner (Sony DRU500a.) I know you wrote that the upgraded version is 4.6, but I think that was a typo on your part, because i'm pretty sure, the latest version is 4.5. Either way, my thoughts are if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

  4. RecordNow DX is version 4.6. RecordNow DX 4.5 comes bundled with the Sony drives and the software has a link to the Japenese site that upgrades it to 4.6

  6. Hi all,
Here's a step-by-step RecorNow Max burning Guide. * NOTE: I follow these exact
steps using RecordNow DX v4.6 and it works flawlessly. ( I don't see any difference
    bettween the 2 products !)

  7. I'm trying to use Stomp recordnow max 4.5, but i don't know the right settings.
should i chose "track-at-once Closed" or "Track-at-once Not closed"?
i used nero before but i have some problems later playing in xbox and LG standalone players!
i'm trying to find the best settings to be more compatible with most standalone players!
    i'm using TDKdvd-rw with Intenso dvd-R!
    thanks

  8. Bladerunnerpt,
Basically use the defaults under Data Disc which are TAO closed and
Joliet blah blah 6 characters blah-> sorry forget exact wording here 8)
I also change the video_ts folder name to all caps VIDEO_TS. Some set top players
are more picky about this than others. See my earlier post above for a guide.
