I have made several VCD's from DVD's and AVI's but somehow only my TV's right speaker gives sound even though I made a stereo Mpeg. The strange thing is that it has stereo on my PC, the sound coming from my DVD to my HIFI-set gives stereo but my TV doesn't. When I select channel B in the multi-language menu on my TV it gives sound through both speakers but I guess this is mono. What am I doing wrong? I tried all the different audiochannels in Tmpgenc but this this also makes no difference. My TV is a Sony Widescreen which is one month old.

The video you are about to burn into a VCD, can it be loaded into Gold Wave? If it can, do it and see if both audio channels are present. If not, you can copy one channel and Mix it onto the empty channel and save it. The use it in TMPGEnc as audio input to make you VCD file.
