wide screen hdtv and svcd quality

we are on the verge of buying a wide screen hdtv television and i was wondering what can i expect as far as quality goes when viewing my already made svcd's on a 50'' hdtv screen? The svcd's look great on my 32'' television but i have read that the bigger the television the worse they look, is this correct or will they look around the same? all my svcd's have been encoded using cce and doing a 4 pass. Any info will be appreciated. thanks

i think it depends on the kind of tv. i have a little 20 inch admiral and some of my vcds look horrible. yet the same vcds on my cousin's 40 inch zenith look beautiful.
