When authoring the same movie to VHS tape and vcd or svcd, why is the tape quality better than the vcd or svcd. I would have thought it would be the same at least.
TIA,

Could you describe your proceedure for "authoring the same movie to VHS tape" for us? Do you have a VHS drive on your computer?
OK, I'm being a jerk. I suppose you are saying you've authored VCDs and SVCDs from source material captured from a VHS tape. Now then, you are wondering why a copy doesn't look the same or better than the original? Good question. Hope someone can help.
