  1. Everytime I go to use TMPGENC...I get as far as clicking on "start encoding now" I click ok then an error message comes up " There is a problem with TMPGenc, send the error report which I did. This has been going on for 2 wks. I finally got a response from TMPGENC..stating "The error you obtained has the problem in the environment codec...Install OS cleanly.
How do I install OS cleanly?

  4. It is a very long message, which I couln't cut & paste. But after they tell me they are sending this error to Microsoft, I clicked on details...there was 2 pages of errors that I was not able to cut and paste.
    The first part says:TMPGenc Error Signature.....App Name" tempgenc.exe...APP Ver: 2.59.47.155...ModName: MP43 mod.dll...Mod Ver: 9.0.2926...OffSET:00005c07.

oh -- its a microsoft error msg .. you can pretty well ignor that as they always say to do a re-install ...

im just guessing from that snip of error msg that you are try to re-encode a avi and that you do not have the right codec installed or have set vfapi correctly for your source ...
(well i am guessing as to your source)

after you load youir source ... got to settings - adv settings and see if you can go through the movie in source range (and see it on the screen)
