  1. Using NERO 5.5.10------
Ok, this is where i complain aobut nero and you people tell me to use another program. I DONT WANT TO USE ANTOHER PROGRAM, ahh that feels better...

DVD-Video-----supposed to be in UDF 1.50 format right? well i burn a DVD+r and it DOESNT work on my standalone Apex AD1500 but it DOES work on my PS2...

DVD-ROM(UDF)------I put the setting for UDF to 1.02 (using DEDUCTION to conclude that my standalone is 1.02 compatible and not 1.50) I burn and i have success on my APEX, but not on my PS2.

    So far we have:
    DVD-Video=APEX-/PS2+ (1.50)
    DVD-ROM(UDF)=APEX+/PS2- (1.02)

    Heres the doozy------

DVD-ROM(UDF) set to UDF 1.50-------THis method works on my APEX but NOT on my PS2------

What is going on------why is the 1.50 now working on my APEX?! im sick of trial and error----I WANT ANSWERS!

  2. Use the latest Nero and try DVD-Video and use "X-Box compatibility".

    This might work for you.

    Pat.

  3. First Nero does suck and you should use a different program. There are several others that will actually work and are free. I recommend using IFOEdit or IMG Tools to make a ISO image file of your VIDEO_TS folder then burning with DVD Decrypter (all freeware).

With that said, most DVD players will play UDF 1.02. However, there's a bug in the newest Nero that will not burn 1.02 correctly, try finding 5.9.9.17

  4. I agree, Nero does suck!! Use another program! I was using Nero, and some DVD's would work and some wouldn't. I was blaming the media because it was cheap. The problem ended up being Nero. I know use Prassi Primo and have been very happy.

Stop being stubborn and convert to the dark side!!

I dont know what happened, i dont know if downgrading my firmware helped or did nothing at all due to the downgrade of my nero! I DONT CARE----my stuff works on my standalone and PS2, and that is all that matters...ahhhhh...
