I have encoded my avi file in TMPGEnc as a DVD MPEG 2. However i now have 2 files, the PCM Audio file and the M2V video file. How do i put these together so i can burn the finished movie to DVD? I Have tried using simple multiplex in TMPGEnc but i get an illegal MPEG stream error when i try to use the audio file. I also ripped the audio using VirrtualDub and tried to use that but i got the same error. I have searched the site and cannot find a tutorial for when you get 2 files.
    Please help

  2. If you encoded with TMPGenc you should have an mp2 audio file as well as an m2v video file. You can mux these together using tmpgenc

  3. I'm new to this also and have only used Sonic DVDit for authoring, but I think most authoring programs will take these two files and mux them together when creating your files for DVD.

i am pretty sure i encoded it right...just to double check this is what i did with TMPGEnc.
    started TMPGEnc
chose DVD NTSC 16:9, & CBR Linear PCM audio
selected the avi file as source video and audio; non interlance, 1:1 VGA and video mode
changed the estimated file size to 4gb to fit onto a dvdr
saved output (it was called filename [m2v+wav])
    Then i started encoding
I was left with the 2 files i said...the M2V and the WAV.

    You got what you selected.
chose DVD NTSC 16:9, & CBR Linear PCM audio
PCM means WAV audio, no compression. Change that option.

CBR MPEG-1 Layer II audio (MP2)??
Thanx in advance, i am guessing after i have corrected this i will be ok
