  1. I am Ok at making titleset without menu but not having much luck using the menu from the DVD itself.

Is it possible to author in Maestro so I can keep the original menu so I don't need all the extras etc from a multi pgc movie?

The menu files imported fine but not too sure how to set the chapters etc to the menu and new vobs.

    TIA. :P

I recently backed up all 5 DVD's for Band of Brothers. Each DVD has two PGC's. I used DVD2DVD-R. Here is what I did:

    1. Use DVD2DVD-R on each PGC, one at a time. Each PGC is between 55 - 115 minutes. I reduced the total file size by setting the MB RESERVED between 2000 -2100 for each PGC. In the SETTINGS area check FORCE ENCODE to be able to adjust the MB RESERVED value.

    2. I played the menu file for each movie (0.vob) and captured each menu as a .BMP file using POWERDVD.

    3. I saved the THEME music from the menu file. This was about 10 minutes long. Using CoolEdit2000 I reduced this down to 1 minute .WAV file.

    4. Using Maestro I IMPORT MEDIA ASSESTS for each PGC (.m2v & .mp2), .BMP for the menu and .WAV for theme.

    5. I created 2 MOVIES & a menu from the assests.

    6. I used CHAPTER XTRACTOR to get the chapter points for each PGC and added this to each MOVIE

    6. Compiled

    7. Burn DVD

I must say the end results are EXCELLENT!
