I downloaded a xvid movie from kazaa and it plays perfectly. When I run it through TMPGE I get no sound. Is there something that I could be missing?

its eitherusing AC3 audio or too Lame MP3 audio, but which TMPGE does not see, for too lame you can use an outside decoder, of just run the avi through vituraldub and pull the audio out as wav and use the wav in TMPGE, just did one myself using that method and the audio stayed insync.

Set the priorities of the DirectShow multimedia file reader higher, you don't need an external audio encoder
Option > environmental settings > VFAPI plug-ins > DirectShow multimedia file reader
Right click and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4, or just below any Mpeg 2 filter -
:P Thanks King John, Didn't work at first, went back and done it again but this time I went to MPEG Setting>Audio and checked copyright flag. Worked perfectly!! Thanks Again for your and thxkids help!! Miller 8) 8)
