  1. Hi All.
I tryed to make my own SVCD template (320*240 PAL, Max 2600Kbps) in Ulead Media Studio 6.5. Then I created a Mpeg-2 video file by this template. Problem is when I burn it, Nero and Movie Factory re-encode it. I don't know what's wrong with my template, why Nero and Movie Factory need re-encode my video file? Please help, thanks.
    Sorry for my bad English.

Is PAL supposed to be XXX x 576 or XXX x 288 for SVCDs? I do not know that much about Media Studio, but it may be trying to re-encode because of your resolution. What do you think?

    PAL is:

    352x288 (VCD)
    352x576 (CVD)
    480x576 (SVCD)
    720x576 (DVD)

    PAL's framerate is 25fps.

    NTSC is:

    352x240 (VCD)
    352x480 (CVD)
    480x480 (SVCD)
    720x480 (DVD)

    NTSC's framerates are 23.976fps and 29.97fps.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P

  4. Hi Tommy, nice to meet you again. Hi Puertorican.
I don't know exactly why Ulead and Nero need reencode my mpeg-2 video. I have tryed created some mpeg-2 videos with onother resolution, but no result. I will try it again, create own template with yours idea, and tell you later.
Now I have another question : I try to create template with DivX 5.02 codec in Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.5, but in the last step when I click OK to finish creating, Media Studio automaticaly close. Does it not support this codec ? (I reinstalled codec, and converted to DivX by Virtualdub with good result).
