I have a Philips DVD 623 Standalone player region 2 which I have had no problems in the past.
I just got the DVD: 9/11 The filmmakers' commemorative dvd edition. This was bought from Virgin Megastores at a nearby town.
When I put the DVD in the player it loads up normal - Paramount (mountain with stars), I get all the copyright info as well and a paragraph along the lines of: Viewer Discretion is adsvised.
Then my player says FTS OFF as it always does when the movie or programme is about to start!
Then my player says DISC ERROR but doesn't spit the DVD out - it just flashes DISC ERROR for about 10 secs then the player tries to play the DVD again and the whole process starts again!
Is the DVD Disc faulty?
Any ideas?

I just got a replacement disc from Virgin Megastores and it works on both my sister's DVD players (which are different brands) BUT it still doesn't work on my player!
I thought a RETAIL Region 2 DVD should work in ALL Region 2 DVD Players!!!!!!!!!! -
One of my sister's HAS a multiregion BUT my other sister's player is a REGION 2 ONLY!
So why does it work on her Region 2 Player?
