Im trying to convert this movie i have thats in XVID format into MPG format with TMPGEnc. I extracted the auto (AC3) with VirtulDub and converted it into wav with HeadAC3he.
I was going to convert it when in TMPGEnc when I saw that Inverse Telecine always becomes selected even after I unselect it and restart the program. Is this due to this movie?
I went into VirtualDub and checked the File Info this is what it gives me:
Video Stream
Frame size, fps: 640x352, 23.976fps
# of frames: 102391
Decompressor: XviD MPEG-4 Codec
Audio Stream
Sampling rate: 48000Hz
Channels: 5 (Stereo)
Sample Persision: 0 -bit
Compression: Unkown (tag 2000)
I thought Inverse Telecine allows you to undo 29.976 or 30fps from a interlaced source. So I take it that I dont need to use this option since its in 23fps already. Or am I wrong?

You definitely don't want to IVTC if it's already 24 fps. Just don't restart TMPGEnc. You seem to somehow have got IVTC set as your default (not sure how to deal with that without playing with TMPGEnc for a while), but just uncheck it and encode without restarting.
